We’re excited to welcome you to our school community, serving students in grades 6–8 in the Central Area of Colorado Springs School District 11. Since opening our doors in 1957, Mann Middle School has remained committed to providing a high-quality education. For the 2025–2026 school year, we anticipate serving approximately 300 students, an ideal size for fostering strong relationships and personalized support.

This year, we are launching a new initiative to bring a more personalized and individualized learning approach to every student. This work is intentionally aligned with the Colorado Springs D11 Graduate Profile, ensuring that all learners develop the essential skills needed to be successful now and in the future. Our new capstone framework will center on student agency and ownership, helping learners take active responsibility for their growth, voice, and learning outcomes.

We offer specialized programming to support students with significant learning and social-emotional needs, and we are committed to creating an environment where every student can thrive academically and personally. Our staff is deeply dedicated to understanding and nurturing each student’s strengths and needs.

Mann Middle School continues to make notable academic progress. According to the Colorado Department of Education’s School Performance Framework, we moved from Priority Improvement to Improvement Status. This was nearly 10% gain in one year and highlighted the effectiveness of our efforts to raise achievement and enhance instruction.

Our curriculum includes core academic areas such as math, language arts, science, and social studies alongside a diverse selection of electives such as music, visual and performing arts, dance, family and consumer science, and physical education. We are proud to have reinstated our Gifted and Talented program and introduced an interventionist teacher to strengthen support in reading, writing, and math.

Our six-period schedule now includes time devoted to social-emotional learning, while our House System promotes smaller communities within the school to foster belonging, peer connection, and positive competition. These structures are designed to support whole-child development and prepare students to be confident, capable, and compassionate learners.

We look forward to partnering with our families and community to ensure that every student at Mann has the opportunity to thrive. Thank you for being part of the Mann Middle School community.
